Wandering dreams...

Traveling. My very first passion! Ever since I grew up I dreamt of traveling the whole world.. exploring new places, unraveling the mysteries behind the world unknown, varied cultures and gazing at the breathtaking natural surroundings. It brings to life a completely different persona in me who otherwise has a very laidback and a calm approach towards most of the things :). But when it comes to traveling, the exhilaration point reaches an all time high, excitement levels are elevated and predominantly like (or rather enforce my likings ;)) to decide on the smallest aspects of traveling like what places to see, what to do, where to stay, etc. Of course that’s not always possible especially when you are with a large group of people, either family or friends. And maybe that’s precisely the reason I prefer to travel alone (of course that includes hubby dear as it becomes more easier to maneuver things according to my whims with him around! :P Not that I don’t like to travel with family and friends, I absolutely enjoy that just as much, but the location preference would be someplace that I’ve already been to and doesn’t need much exploring so that I can spend some quality time with them and enjoy the company rather than sightseeing around.

So yeah coming back to traveling, I’ve been fortunate enough till now to get the opportunity to travel to many places (thanks to my lovely parents in the earlier part of my life & now my husband who is equally fond of traveling, thankfully, fulfilling all my nomadic wishes and smilingly bearing the brunt on his pocket! :D) Though I don’t know till when he’ll be able to bear it (poor guy!) coz I have a never-ending list of places that I want to see and travel around that even this lifetime is going to fall short! However, who knows, maybe a few years down the line you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do rather than by the ones you did do. So throw away the caution to the winds and... Explore. Dream. Discover. As someone has rightly said “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” And I’ve already taken that first step and come so far but still miles & miles to go before I reach the final destination!
