Till death do us apart..!!

While I was taking a glance at all of my posts till date, I realized that most of my posts had one factor in common – my husband! Funny how my thoughts always steer towards him, subconsciously, even when the topic is as irrelevant to him as, for instance, shopping! Yet, he manages to take over my thoughts and posts some way or the other, indeliberately. It’s astonishing and surprising even to me and makes me wonder how and when did my world started revolving around him! Its mind-boggling, at the same time insightful, how your world revolves around your parents while growing up and once you are married the same world shifts center around your husband and finally the moment  you have children they become your entire world! It comes naturally to us, I suppose. Albeit, it doesn’t cease to amaze me how just four years of togetherness (including the courtship period) can make such an enormous impact in your life. It just seems like yesterday when I had first met him, started getting to know him, started dreaming about a wonderful life with him, started to feel something for him and here I’m after four blissful years into our relationship and it’s almost impossible for me to visualize a life without him! Marriage is a threshold of new dreams, new relations, new feelings, new life which over a period of time, with love and nurturing, becomes your foremost source of being.. of existence and gives your life a whole new meaning, a sense of belonging and a reason to survive against all odds! It indeed is a magnificent journey which binds two souls together eternally. And finding your other half, who is not perfect but perfect for you, makes life’s journey worthwhile.

The past few weeks have been the most challenging and toughest weeks as a mother. The most dreaded day in the life of any parent, arrived. The first day at school. Yes! Please don't judge her..

The day I was born, my entire family rejoiced except my mom. But please don’t judge her since she was in pain, weak and fighting to survive just to bring me safely in to this world. When I cried in the middle of the night she woke up and spent endless nights with me, comforting me and rocking me back to sleep. But there were times when she didn’t. Please don’t judge her for that since she was tired and sleep deprived for making sure I slept peacefully. She left me in the hands of my grandmother/nanny when I turned three months, but please don’t judge her for that since she needed to get back to work and struggled to retain her identity at the same time fighting her inner conscience which was ridden with guilt for leaving me. Dear You. Yes you who are reading this. Don't look so puzzled. I know you are wondering why am I addressing this letter to you of all people. Well, because I know that you will listen to what I have to say and help me. Or will at least give a thought about it. Who am I? And why do I need your help? Well, I am just one of you.
