Happy? Women's day..
So today is International women’s day. A day to celebrate the spirit of women. A day to celebrate the achievements of women. A day to celebrate the existence of women. A day to celebrate.. WOMEN per se! And why not? Women are equally at par with men and have the potential to do everything a man does. Time and again it has been proved. Women have made their mark in all fields. And spaces. Imagine a world without women. Unthinkable, right? So it perfectly makes sense that the world celebrates women’s day with a bang. What doesn’t make sense is what are we, women of India, celebrating the women’s day for? Okay, I understand there are a few women who are successful and have left their mark globally and I totally respect those women. But what about billions of them who share the same plight, same agony just for being a woman in this so called modern and developing India.
